Typically Paravicini, the design is 'timeless' and the circuitry is quite unique - the 899 preamplifier section is passive. The large thick aluminium faceplate and buttons differ from the other designs, but also give the 899 a visual charm which grows on you.

All of the features that you would expect from such an amplifier are present. You can also use the 899 as a power amplifier.
